E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!

McNabb

Cool, man!! Just received this amazing Donovan McNabb's jersey as a gift from Matt O.!! Now I have something to wear by the Superbowl, a couple weeks from now!

I'm pretty sure I've never been as fan of American Football as I am now. I used to play Joe Montana's video game on my old Sega Genesis when I was a kid and last year I watched a match in the Sky Dome in Toronto. Now, not only I'm much more into the rules and the spirit of the game but also I have a team to support and this team eventually happens to be at the Superbowl! Awesome, man!!

I love this game!!

NBA

Cool! First time really there, in the arena, watching an exciting NBA game. Washington Wizards vs. Philadelphia 76ers. I wanned the 6ers to win but they didn't. The game was pretty equals but at some point at the fourth period the 6ers just didn't play for 2 minutes! This was enough for the Wizs to open a ten-point advantage and win the match.

Well, the result itself didn't matter. In fact it was really awesome to be there, to watch the game, to see so many slam dunks, three-point shoots, all the show, all the spectacle. I was with Wolf (read: "Volf"), a very funny Austrian friend, and we laughed a lot in the way back to Chantilly talking about different languages. He can speak some Portuguese now!! =D

Now that I'm just starting to get used to living here, I'm only a few days away from home. It's always like this, these two opposite feelings, one side wants to come back but the other just doesn't. It was like this in Canada and Thailand last year and now here in the US. I knew it'd be this way, but it's not a big deal, I usually don't get so long to get used to my own room and stuff in Brazil. People who know me know what I'm talking about! =)

What really matters is that, step by step, I'm achieving this personal goal I have of getting to know heaps of different places, people and cultures, to experience lots of different experiences! This is the game I love most!

Snow!

Snow is one thing I still can't understand. Sort of a fourth state of water, crystallized flakes, whatever, the amount I've seen so far I really liked! Guy, it's beautiful, and it increases my natural will of not leaving my room. In this hotel room I've been in for the past 15 hours I have two double beds, two laptops, good Internet connection, one TV, bathtub in the bathroom, a mini-kitchen (or an "almost kitchen") where I can make my green tea and Chimarrão, a small balcony...

What else would I want? Perhaps not being alone. Kinda obvious answer. But, till now, I can say I'm kinda Ok. I can wait till next weekend, I can wait till Carnival's weekend, two weeks from now, when I'll be reaching "Jordan's Fields" (or Campos do Jordão =) with some friends and my babe. Awesome! Meanwhile, while these days are still in the future, I can enjoy myself, take care of my stuff, speak and listen to some English, have some fun inside my own mind and watch this beautiful snow spectacle by the window.

There's no snow where I live, so I gotta make this moment glorious...

Traveller Buddy 2005

Today, morning...

Catbert: "What are you doing on the next 3 weeks?"

Dilbert: "Err... dunno... workin'..."

Catbert: "Perhaps you'll have to work in Washington. You're the only one who's got a passport and an American visa and it's kinda urgent."

5 minutes ago:

Catbert: "Just asked for the issuance of your air ticket..."

This is how I feel now. Heaps of small problems to deal with. HEAPS! Hope to have most of them solved till the end of the week and relax.

If you want to call me 'baby'...

For a moment I ask myself if I didn't notice her because I wasn't wearing my glasses or because I really don't have eyes for silly girls anymore. I still remember, about 1 year ago, when what I once misclassified in my blog as "brightness" was completely destroyed by stupid arrogance.

"I broke up with him 'cause he used to treat me like a princess but this is not enough for me: I deserve to be treated like a queen!"

Too bad she didn't realize legitimate queens once were princesses...
